Transfer day

From Day 3, Day 5, or FET — to an EDD you can explain.

Clinics date from embryo age on transfer day, not a period you never had. See the calendar add-on spelled out before you text the group chat.

Dating tools for sticky-note math

PregDateBase is a small set of free calculators for the dates people actually write down after IVF, FET, or a portal EDD: transfer day, embryo age, due date reverse-checks, conception windows, implantation timing, and when a home test is less of a coin flip. The tone is clinic sticky note, not an “empower your fertility journey” lecture.

IVF dating usually starts from the embryo’s age on transfer day, not from a last period you never had. Under the common fertilization-length framework, you add about 263 days after a Day 3 transfer, 261 after Day 5, and 260 after Day 6. Frozen embryo transfer uses the same day-age idea from the FET date — freezer months do not become pregnancy weeks.

When a hospital form or period app still demands an LMP, an IVF LMP-equivalent (roughly EDD − 280) is a paperwork translation, not a claim that you menstruated that day. If you only have a due date, reverse dating walks backward into a conception window — honest ranges, not an exact Tuesday at 3:12pm.

Everything here is a planning estimate that runs in your browser. Ultrasound dating and your clinic’s policy still win when they disagree. Confirm medical, leave, and testing decisions with your care team.

Paper dates. Browser math. Clinic still has the last word.

Start from transfer

Fresh or frozen, the useful inputs are usually transfer date and Day 3 / Day 5 / Day 6 age. Open the IVF due date calculator, the how-to calculate due date from IVF page, or the FET landing if that is the language on your paperwork.

Start from an EDD or the wait

Only have a portal due date? Reverse into a conception window, or use the conception calculator / when did I conceive framing. In the two-week wait, try implantation and test timing.

FAQ

What is PregDateBase?
A set of free, browser-only date calculators for IVF/FET due dates, reverse conception from an EDD, implantation windows, pregnancy weeks, and light cycle support. It is estimate-only — not a clinic chart and not medical advice.
How is an IVF due date usually calculated?
Most clinics use fertilization-length math: about 266 days from fertilization, minus the embryo's age at transfer. That is why Day 5 is often transfer + 261, Day 3 is +263, and Day 6 is +260. Ultrasound policy can still update the official EDD later.
Does FET use different due-date math?
The day-age idea is the same. Freezer storage time does not become gestational age. Date from the FET day and the thawed embryo's Day 3 / 5 / 6 label.
Why do period apps disagree with my IVF dates?
Many apps force a last-menstrual-period field. If you invent a period you never had, they drift. Build an IVF LMP-equivalent from your EDD, or trust the clinic portal date.
Can you tell me the exact day I conceived?
Not honestly from a due date alone. Reverse and conception tools return a window of a few days — false precision helps no one.
When does implantation usually happen?
Often about 6–12 days after ovulation, with many sources clustering around 8–10 DPO. After embryo transfer, follow your clinic's beta schedule over generic DPO charts.
Do my dates leave my device?
Calculations are designed to run in your browser. There is no signup wall and no clinic EMR sync pretend.
Is this medical advice?
No. Planning estimates only. Confirm dating, testing, leave, and medical decisions with your clinic.

Estimate only — not medical advice. Dates stay in your browser. Confirm with your clinic.
